The 23rd of May 2019 marked the first “Microbes to MW” event. This was an invitation-only event created exclusively for Shenton Group biogas clients to celebrate their successes, to share technical knowledge, and to hand out some awards!

Microbes to MW eventClients were invited to Shenton Group HQ in Andover, travelling from miles away, and some coming from as far as Inverness in Scottland!

This day consisted of technical presentations, top tips for maintaining your Combined Heat and Power system, and how to get more bang for your buck! We had demos of the latest developments in remote monitoring, and it gave our clients the chance to mingle with other like-minded farms as well as the Shenton Group team.

We had a guest speaker from Paul Winter Consulting Ltd, a company that specialises in the renewables sector and provided a fascinating discussion around gas to grid.

Clients also received a guided tour of the facilities, our warehouse and Test Cell.

“I enjoyed the relaxed and laid back approach to the event. I felt very welcome and I got a lot out of the discussions. It was interesting to hear what problems other farms have and how they have been tackling them.” – Biogas client.

There were with three awards presented on the day:

Best Kept Site Award 2019

Longest Serving Client Award 2019

Highest Average Electrical Output Award For 2018 (For this we had three winners all achieving above 99% electrical output!)

And the fun didn’t stop there! With it being the 1st year that we have run this event, we wanted to say an extra special thank you to our clients for their support over the years, so we arranged an evening meal, drinks and a hotel stay at the Donnington Valley Hotel and Spa.
