The successful candidate is likely to be an experienced but energetic person who has served time in the same industry. A mature experienced outlook is needed with the ability to work under pressure within tight timeframes in order to meet regularly reviewed individual and team based Sales Targets. A practical and mechanical/electrical background will be essential, along with a willingness to learn. Full training and backup support will be given to make a successful post. When not on the road visiting clients the candidate will be required to work out of our head office in Andover, Hampshire and will need to travel in daily.
Your position would be within the sales department, reporting to the Sales & Marketing Director, but also working alongside the projects department.

Main Purpose of Role:
This is both a customer facing and office based role and will be focused specifically on working on smaller generator and UPS projects up to £30,000.00 nationwide. You will be required to have organisational and IT skills and your role will involve:
a) Setting your yearly targets
b) Reviewing your quote bank and quote conversion rate
c) Handling initial enquiries
d) Liaising with customers to fully understand their requirements
e) Assessing leads
f) Pricing of projects and liaising with sub-contractors to get necessary prices.
g) Preparing quotations
h) Sending out of quotations
i) Customer site based visits/meetings and presentations.
j) Following up quotations until point of order
k) Carrying out project handovers to the project teams once the order comes in

Experience and Qualifications Essential:
a) Minimum of 3 years relevant experience within the industry, or similar role.
b) Experience in negotiating capital projects in all different industries
c) Handling of commercial situations, tiered-level contracting, distributor based supply chain, margins etc.
d) Methodical and dedicated to following up quotations
e) Strong practical electrical and mechanical engineering knowledge IT skills, fluent with Outlook, Excel, & Word.
Desirable:
a) IT/Broadband Network knowledge
f) Strong practical knowledge of generator & UPS installations, including practical experience of changeover panels, electrical installations, etc
b) Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification
c) CSCS card
d) Experience with building services plant (both electrical and mechanical)
e) Knowledge of BMS protocol languages such as Modbus / Profibus / BACNet etc
