Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) Systems
An uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system is your bridge between mains power and your backup generators. AMF panels will react to power failure and activate your generators, but without a UPS system there’s a handful of seconds before the generator starts and takes the full electrical load. In that brief gap your power is out and there could be serious consequences.
There are further benefits to installing a UPS power supply system:
- To provide a quality power supply by filtering and stabilising the power source which may be affected by disturbances such as transients, spikes, surges etc.
- Independent management. With a UPS, your worries are over. In a blackout, your uninterruptible power supply will automatically protect all operating machinery, lighting, IT systems and so on, and if the UPS develops a fault it can be programmed to alert key personnel, including our support team.
- Greatly enhanced reliability of the power supply network by means of redundant solutions to ensure high quality, continuous power even when a failure occurs.
shentongroup‘s extensive range of high-efficiency UPS solutions are used in conjunction with most standby generator backup power supply applications.
We can also integrate additional features into your UPS system, like an automatic bypass to guarantee continuous power supply in case of overloads or UPS faults, a manual bypass that completely isolates the UPS and various local or remote signalling and maintenance options.
We can supply you with the right replacement uninterruptible power supplies for your existing backup power set-up or work with you to create a bespoke backup power supply package. Because UPS systems have consumable parts that age with use, we offer five UPS maintenance plans: Maxicare Plus, Power Care Premier, Power Care 24, Power Care and Power Care Lite. Our Maxicare Plus, Power Care Premier and Power Care 24 contracts, feature 24/7 emergency response to UPS failure with a 4-hour guaranteed response time.
