Reigate Data Centre has peace of mind thanks to shentongroup

For this project we needed to place two generators in one acoustic plant room enclosure for a Data Centre in Reigate.  This was no problem whatsoever for our installation team at shentongroup led by Terry Catlin (Project Manager), we are used to providing whatever our clients ask for.

We installed two shentongroup Powerhouse Series diesel generators, open frame model PHG1385Pe producing a maximum standby output of 1385kVA at 400 Volts, 3 phase, 0.8 power factor, 50Hz @ 1500rpm with a prime power output of 1258kVA to BS5000 and BS5514 standards.

Both units have a Perkins 4012-46TWG2A industrial diesel engine designed to comply with ISO3046 BS5514 and DIN6271, complete with water cooling system with tropical radiator, cooling fan, pulley guards, thermostatic control and a gear driven water pump. 

As mentioned, we provided one Acoustic Drop-over Plant room Enclosure for both generators to achieve a noise level of 75dBA at 1m in assumed FFC.

This backup power solution also came equipped with a heavy duty fabricated steel base frame incorporating a 12,500 litre daily service base fuel tank per generator and a complete fill point cabinet with contents indicator.  Anti-vibration mounts were fitted between the engine/alternator and base frame.
