In exciting news, we’re pleased to announce the expansion of our Hampshire headquarters following the addition of the neighbouring unit.
The company has seen significant growth in recent years, and this development marks an important milestone for Shenton Group, perfectly reflecting our ongoing commitment to investing in the people, facilities, and expertise that work together to provide businesses and organisations with the most reliable power solutions across the UK.
The expansion is in response to significant sales growth, an increasing workforce, and the continued demand for the company’s services, with Shenton Group delivering larger and more complex projects, maintenance contracts, and rental solutions at a greater frequency than ever before. The doubling in size of our HQ in Andover, along with our London and Falkirk offices and national spread of engineers, ensures the business is perfectly set up for growth.
Most importantly, this investment lays the foundations for the development of our ambitious new Centre of Technical Excellence, which will help to shape the future of both the business and the wider industry for years to come.
Drawing on more than 40 years of experience delivering resilient power solutions to critical environments with the highest regulations, including the Ministry of Defence, the NHS, and the UK’s Water Authorities, Shenton Group has continued delivering to clients in every sector with increasingly challenging project requirements. To meet these evolving needs, the business has expanded its workforce, welcoming additional expertise from across the industry and strengthening the capabilities of our existing teams.
As the business continues to evolve, so too must the facilities and resources that support it. Describing the expansion as “a significant milestone in Shenton Group’s journey”, Chief Operating Officer Jody Meek said the additional premises will provide much-needed capacity to support the company’s continued growth.

The addition of the neighbouring unit provides the additional capacity needed to accommodate future expansion, enhance collaboration, and create new opportunities for innovation across the organisation. As well as more than doubling our production space in Andover, Hampshire, it will also enable the provision of additional office space, which will be necessary to achieve our 50% growth targets over the next three years.
In recent times, demand for Shenton Group’s services has increased significantly as organisations across the UK place greater emphasis on resilient power solutions, critical infrastructure support, and sustainable energy initiatives.
Commenting on the expansion, Jody added: “Our clients continue to put utmost trust in Shenton Group, and we are currently investing at pace, in many areas, to ensure we deliver on their trust – every time.”
However, investment in the future of Shenton Group extends beyond facilities alone. As part of the company’s ongoing development, important changes are also being made to strengthen the leadership structure that will help guide the business through its next phase of growth.
During the 2026 Summer Staff Meeting on 16th July, Shenton Group announced an upcoming change to many of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) roles to better reflect the impact, authority, and responsibility they hold within the business.
Marking an important step in the development of Shenton Group, five members of the SLT will progress from “Manager” to “Director” titles, effective from Monday 3rd August. These directorships recognise the significant contribution these individuals make to the business and reflect the leadership responsibilities they already hold across the organisation.
While this additional space will help to support the continued growth of the business, it also creates an exciting opportunity to bring a long-term vision to life, one that will have an impact across the power generation industry.
That vision is the Shenton Group Centre of Technical Excellence (CoTE).
For Chief Executive Officer Curtis Meek, the development represents more than an expansion of facilities. Describing the expansion as “a bold investment in the future of Shenton Group”, Curtis said the project demonstrates the company’s confidence in the opportunities ahead and its commitment to sustainable growth, while maintaining the technical excellence, solution-driven approach, and family values that have defined the business for more than 40 years.
Designed to be a hub for innovation, collaboration, training, and technical expertise, the CoTE will provide a dedicated environment for knowledge and practical experience to come together under one roof. This opens new possibilities around testing, demonstrations, and knowledge sharing, further strengthening our capabilities and enhancing the solutions and services we provide to our clients.
Shenton Group already leads the way within the industry by having the Test Cell that offers real-world testing of our generators before they are dispatched to site, and the Tech Hub, a training facility for new engineers, and consultant knowledge-sharing days. With the expansion, we can bring the technical focus under one roof in a dedicated facility, further growing what we offer in terms of training and testing.
The Centre of Technical Excellence will give our clients greater opportunities to engage with our technologies, capabilities, and expertise. Enhanced testing facilities and practical demonstration areas will enable us to explore new solutions, validate performance, and support customers with an even deeper level of technical insight and understanding.
By creating an environment focused on learning, development, and collaboration, the CoTE will play an important role in driving innovation. We envision it as a place where expertise is shared, future talent is developed, and industry challenges can be explored and solved, helping to shape the future of the sectors we serve.
As demand for skilled engineers continues to increase across the industry, the development of the Centre of Technical Excellence will support a longer-term ambition for Shenton Group: investing in the next generation of talent.
We recognise the importance of creating opportunities for individuals looking to build rewarding careers within the power generation industry. As part of the ongoing development of the CoTE, we are creating the ‘Shenton Group Academy’ alongside apprenticeship programmes that will help equip future engineers and technical specialists with the skills, knowledge, and practical experience needed to succeed.
By combining technical expertise, hands-on learning, and mentorship from experienced professionals, we will play an active role in developing the industry’s future talent pipeline while helping to address the growing demand for skilled professionals across the sector.
The expansion of our Andover headquarters marks an exciting new chapter in Shenton Group’s journey. From increased capacity and enhanced technical capabilities to investment in leadership development and future talent, this project represents far more than additional space.
